The Dzus 1500 series sliding latch is a very compact quick-release fastener. It is an ideal way to attach bodywork or any panel which requires easy installation and removal. Latches and releases easily without tools. When closed, the spring action of the claw resists opening under vibration and shock loads.
The small (.70" x 1.8") sliding bar assembly gets rivetted to the removable panel, and the bushing (included) is mounted to the stationary support behind the panel using a #8 SAE (8-32) or 4mm screw. Requires only 5/8" of clearance at one end for slide operation. Maximum tensile strength rating of 150 pounds depends on the strength of the bushing mounting screw. Sold individually, one latch assembly with one receptacle bushing.
Order Slide Latch Spacers (Part No. 3018) separately if the removable panel is thicker than 0.080" (see the following table for quantities required).
