The SmartyCam HD GP is a compact solid-state digital video camera that connects to your AiM data logger or ECU (ECU connection requires an ECU Bridge kit, sold separately) for brilliant videos with data overlay. All of the information from the data logger or ECU can be overlaid on screen and recorded as part of the video footage -- no syncing necessary later.
The SmartyCam HD GP features a small "lipstick" camera (3" long x 0.94" diameter) connected to a compact, solid-state recording unit (4 1/8" x 2 1/2" x 1") by a 2 meter cable. The lipstick camera is less obtrusive than the full-size AiM SmartyCam HD, making it ideal for use on formula cars and sports racers. Weighs just 350 grams (12 1/2 ounces) -- about 100 g (3 1/2 oz) more than the standard SmartyCam HD.
Records up to 4 hours of DVD-quality video (1280 x 720) on the included 4GB MicroSD memory card (supports up to 128GB cards). Draws less than 1 amp from vehicle power. Waterproof for use on open cars and motorcycles. The wide-angle (84°) field of view on this camera is ideal for open vehicles (sedans tend to get a lot of roof, floor, and door in the shot). The preview screen on the recording unit makes aiming the camera easy without requiring any additional parts. Kit includes bullet camera with wide angle lens, recording unit, connector cable, 2 meter CAN cable (to connect to your AiM data logger), AC charging adapter (North American plug type), and 4GB MicroSD card.
