The standard Van Diemen clutch release mechanism has caused a few headaches for those running this chassis. Considering the difficulty in gaining service access, you'll appreciate the increased reliability provided by this kit which adapts the time-tested and highly-reliable Tilton Annular Slave Cylinder to the 1999 thru 2004 Van Diemen FF1600 (Kent engine) with integral oil tank bellhousing. The kit includes an aluminum base which replaces the stock release cylinder housing, supply hose, bleed hose, o-ring seals and illustrated installation instructions. This kit fits the Tilton 5.5" single-disc racing clutch. (Most 7.25" racing clutches and Quarter Master or AP 5.5" clutches use the 44mm contact bearing, Part No. 163-53.)
Note: This unit fits the Van Diemen FF1600 with a single disc clutch or Van Diemen FF2000 (SOHC Pinto) with a dual disc clutch.
