3M™ Novec™ 1230 is the latest "green" replacement for ozone-depleting Halon as a fire suppression agent. Novec is non-conductive, non-corrosive, alcohol-resistant (effective on methanol fires), and ozone-friendly. It is stored as a liquid under pressure that releases as a gas, which means zero cleanup afterwards. Unlike Halon (and many of its replacements), Novec is non-toxic, which makes it ideal for use in confined spaces.

Each of these Extreme systems includes a filled and pressurized bottle, bottle mounting brackets, tubing, fittings, and 3 discharge nozzles (2 engine bay nozzles and 1 cockpit nozzle). Electrical systems also include an electrical power pack, wiring, and 2 actuator buttons (one for cockpit mounting and one for external mounting). Mechanical systes include a 6-foot pull cable.

Note: These systems are not FIA or SFI certified. They are not accepted for SCCA racing in any cars. Please check your rulebook prior to ordering to be sure you can use one of these systems.
