Here's a lightweight and affordable alternative to the heavy Girling 14LF caliper. The cast iron body (legal for all Formula Ford and Formula Continental rules) uses a crossover bridge design which reduces weight by 65% (4.5 lbs less than a 14LF) while maintaining excellent stiffness.
This caliper assembly is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the Girling 14LF caliper, but with slightly smaller pistons (1 3/4" diameter vs the original 1 7/8"). The stainless steel pistons offer superior corrosion resistance and low thermal conductivity. Designed to fit the original 3/8" thick rotor, but will accomodate 1/4" rotors if you add shims behind the pads. Uses common LD20 pads (FMSI D5, HB108 or PF720, sold separately). Sold individually.
Right vs Left: "Right" and "Left" assume a trailing caliper (behind the axle). A "Right" caliper can be used on the left side in a leading application.
