Fire-resistant undergarments provide a dramatic increase in protection when worn with a driver's suit. Flame retardant underwear and socks are required by many race sanctioning bodies. The Race series long underwear bottom from Alpinestars is made of a very comfortable single layer soft knit blend of fire-retardant synthetic aramid fibers and Lenzing FR®, a permanently flame-resistant natural fiber that insulates against extreme heat while allowing your skin to breathe. This is not the rough "waffle weave" fabric!
Bottoms feature a very narrow elastic waist and a slightly relaxed fit for extra comfort. No front fly opening to compromise safety. Available in Black or White. FIA 8856-2000 homologated and SFI 3.3 approved.
