The main function of the drawbolt is to keep the input shaft coupled to the layshaft whenever the engine is disconnected from the gearbox. Installing the drawbolt too tight can overstress it and break it. It should be installed just hand-tight, then loosened about 1/2 turn until the cotter pin holes line up. Manufactured by Webster, fits Hewland or Webster Mk-series and Model 400 gearboxes. Replaces Hewland part number HC2363.
Note: Webster leaves the drawbolt undrilled, so you can locate the hole exactly where you need it to fit your gearbox.
