Drift punches are typically used to align the holes in two parts so that a fastener can be inserted. As you insert the punch through the holes, a tapered portion pulls the holes into alignment with the aid of a hammer if necessary.

The Beta Tools 30 series drift punches feature a long, gentle taper for easy aligning while minimizing potential damage to the hole. The hex-shaped handle is easy to grip and resists rolling away.

This steel punch has a 6mm diameter starter section (20mm long with a flat end) that tapers up to 12mm diameter over 44mm of length. Overall length 150mm.
