This set of two 5 1/2" metallic clutch discs fits the Tilton OT-III Dual Disc Racing Clutch (Part No. 173-50). These paddle-style discs have four individual friction segments for lower rotational inertia than full-circle discs. A generous radius between the paddles also minimizes hub plate cracking due to misalignments in the drivetrain. The downside is slightly higher wear rate due to the overall decrease in friction material.
The 1" x 23 spline pattern fits the 2.0L Ford SOHC Pinto engine. Not interchangeable with the 1x23 45 degree "Mopar" spline size. This set of "stacked" discs includes one disc with a standard ("A"-type) hub and one disc with a thin ("C"-type) hub for increased flywheel clearance.
Tilton's minimum recommended clutch disc thickness is 0.089" on dual disc clutches. New clutch discs measure 0.104" thick.
