Beta Tools sparkproof tools are constructed of a special copper-beryllium (Cu-Be) alloy for safe use in potenially explosive environments. Beta Tools Cu-Be tools are certified non-sparking under European Directive 99/92/EC. They are also perfectly antimagnetic and corrosion-resistant.
The 55BA Series Sparkproof Open-End Wrenches have two different-size open ends set at a 15° angle. One end of this wrench fits fasteners with a 16mm hex, and the other end fits 17mm hex fasteners. Measures 165mm long (L) x 9mm thick (S). A=35.5mm, A1=40mm. Sold individually.
Note: Copper-beryllium tools are not safe for use in contact with acetylene. Acetylene can react with the copper to form copper acetylide, a powerful and very dangerous explosive.
