Beta Tools sparkproof tools are constructed of a special copper-beryllium (Cu-Be) alloy for safe use in potenially explosive environments. Beta Tools Cu-Be tools are certified non-sparking under European Directive 99/92/EC. They are also perfectly antimagnetic and corrosion-resistant.

The 55BA/AS Series Sparkproof Open-End Wrenches have two different-size open ends set at a 15° angle. One end of this wrench fits fasteners with a 1/2" hex, and the other end fits 9/16" hex fasteners. Sold individually.

Note 1: Copper-beryllium tools are not safe for use in contact with acetylene. Acetylene can react with the copper to form copper acetylide, a powerful and very dangerous explosive.

Note 2: This 55mm/60mm size is not a standard production item and is not immediately available from stock. Beta Tools will only manufacture this size on request. Lead times depend on the surrounding production schedule.
