If you work with metric hardware, chances are sooner or later you will need to drill and tap a metric hole. But metric drill bits can be hard to find -- so much so that many tap drill charts list the "nearest SAE size" drill bit!

The Beta Tools 415 Series metric drill bits are constructed of cobalt steel (8% Co) for durability in drilling through hard or abrasive metals like stainless steel, cast iron, and even titanium. These "screw machine" length drill bits are shorter than standard "jobber" length bits to minimize the possibility of breakage due to bending. Straight shank (shank OD matches drill size) with a bright finish. The 130° point requires a center punch to prevent walking.

This 19-bit set includes metric sizes 1.00mm to 10.00mm in 0.5mm increments, plus a sturdy plastic drill index case for easy organization.
