The 1051XL self-locking pliers from Beta Tools feature a lower jaw that can pivot from any of 5 positions to grasp odd-shaped objects. The tensioning thumbscrew is located on the spine of the fixed handle (not at the end of the handle) for one-hand operation. A lever on the other handle releases the jaws when squeezed. The jaws and handles have a chrome-plated finish. The release lever has a Beta Orange cover. The 1051XL has even larger jaws than the 1051L for maximum capacity.

These pliers measures 270mm long overall (L), with 17mm wide jaws (S). The tips of the jaws can grasp an object up to 130mm thick (A1). Maximum vertical throat clearance 70mm (A2).
