The 1132 Series cutters from Beta Tools are designed specifically for cutting insulated copper or aluminum electrical cables (such as battery cables). The hooked jaws are designed to keep large-diameter cables from slipping out so you get a cleaner cut. The jaws lock closed to prevent damage in storage. The molded black and Beta orange Bi-Material handles offer a cushioned, non-slip grip.

This size measures 170mm long (L) x 10.5mm thick (B). The jaws measure 26mm wide when closed (A). Weighs 209 g. (L = 6.7", B = 0.4", A = 1", weighs 7.5oz.) Maximum cable size 50mm² (IECC 60228) or 1 AWG. Maximum jaw capacity 14mm (9/16") OD including insulation. Sold individually.

Note: These cutters are designed for use on soft materials such as stranded copper or aluminum only! Attempting to cut harder materials will damage the jaws, is considered abuse, and will void the lifetime factory warranty.
