The Beta Tools 1134 ratcheting cutter is designed specifically for cutting insulated copper or aluminum electrical cables (such as battery cables). The compound cutter has a ratcheting mechanism to provide extra leverage, allowing you to cut very large cables with a relatively compact cutter. The cutting jaw is replaceable if it wears out. Matte black finish with Beta orange plastic handles.
This size measures just 260mm long (L), yet it is capable of cutting a cable up to IECC 60228 size 400mm² or 0000 AWG (maximum jaw capacity 35mm cable diameter including insulation). Sold individually.
Note: These cutters are designed for use on soft materials such as stranded copper or aluminum only! Attempting to cut harder materials will damage the jaws, is considered abuse, and will void the lifetime factory warranty.
