The 1290INOX Series flat blade screwdrivers from Beta Tools feature the same comfortable BetaMAX handle as the popular 1290 Series, but with a corrosion-resistant shank.

The blade on this 1290INOX/2,5x50 size measures 0.4mm thick (S) x 2.5mm wide (A). The shank measures 50mm long (L) x 2.5mm OD (Ø). Overall length 146mm (L1). (S = 1/64", A = 7/64", L = 2", Ø = 7/64", L1 = 5 3/4"). This is the smallest size available in the 1290INOX Series. Sold individually.

Beta Inox (short for "in-oxidizable") tools are designed for use in critical environments where contamination is unacceptable, such as nuclear facilities, pharmaceutical production (Class C), biotech, food production, and offshore marine environments. The use of mild steel tools in these environments can lead to corrosion and rust formation, even on stainless steel fasteners. Beta Inox tools are constructed of magentic stainless steel (AISI 420), expertly heat-treated to achieve strength comparable to standard Beta tools. These Inox screwdrivers can also be sterilized in an autoclave at 121°C (250°F), even with the plastic handle.
