Don't take a chance on damaging an expensive alternator trying to remove or install a clutch-type pulley (OAP or OAD) with an impact gun! Do the job right by using the proper tools. The 1489 Series from Beta Tools are designed specifically to fit the drive types used on modern free-spin alternator pulleys.

This tool assembly consists of an outer sleeve (31 spline) to hold the pulley shaft and an inner tool (T50 Torx® drive) to turn the rotor shaft. A 15mm hex on the outer sleeve lets you use a 15mm wrench (such as the Beta 188/15 Straight 15mm Alternator Pulley Tool Wrench, sold separately) to keep the pulley shaft from rotating. The inner tool has a female 1/2" square drive to accept your torque wrench.
