These precision gaskets have been designed specifically for the original steel rocker covers on the 4-cylinder Porsche engine. The high-temperature silicone construction allows the gasket to crush -- without extruding outwards -- much more than the stock cork gasket for better sealing.
Simply clean your valve covers, spread a thin bead of RTV sealant around the flange to hold the gasket to the cover, and install the gasket. Install the cover as usual, and you're ready to go! When it's time to adjust the valves, the gasket will stay with the valve cover. The gaskets are reusable indefinitely, which means they could be the last valve cover gaskets you will ever buy! Sold in pairs (enough for one engine).
Fits the original Porsche steel valve covers on 1948-65 Porsche 356 (except 4-cam Carrera engines) as well as 1965-69 Porsche 912 flat-4 pushrod engines. Not for use with aluminum valve covers that require an O-ring or C-channel seal. Does not fit 914 or 1969 "912E" (2.0L VW Type 4) engines.
