This Firesense Extreme fire suppression system from SPA Design / Protrust Solutions is SFI Certified (SFI Spec 17.2) and SCCA legal for all cars!

The FK-5-1-12 fire suppressing agent (commercially known as 3M™ Novec™ 1230) is the latest "green" replacement for ozone-depleting Halon. FK‑5‑1‑12 is ozone-friendly, non-corrosive (safe for electronics), alcohol-resistant (effective on methanol fires), and non-conductive (effective on Electric and Hybrid vehicles as well as Lithium battery fires). It is stored as a liquid under pressure that releases as a gas, which means zero cleanup afterwards. Unlike Halon (and many of its replacements), FK‑5‑1‑12 is non-toxic, which makes it ideal for use in confined spaces.

Each SFI-approved Extreme system includes a filled and pressurized bottle, bottle mounting brackets, 10 ft of 5/16" aluminum tubing, fittings, two push-on tee connectors, 1 cockpit discharge nozzles, and 2 engine bay discharge nozzles. This Electrically-actuated system also includes a power pack, a cockpit-mounted actuation switch, and electrical connectors. The bottle measures 5" OD (slightly larger at the weld seams) x 8 1/8" Long overall.

This is a complete, ready-to-use system. You will only need to cut the electrical pigtails to suit your installation and splice wires together.

Note that the SFI 17.2 standard requires fire systems to be inspected and re-certified every 2 years, with a maximum life span of 6 years. Most sanctioning bodies (including SCCA) will not accept a fire system that is past is service date.
