This compact contoller switch assembly mounts in your -10 rubber hose (Aeroquip Socketless, Earl's Super-Stock, etc) to turn your electric fan on and off automatically.
The black anodized adapter fitting has a 5/8" male barbed fitting at each end. Just cut your existing hose in a convenient spot and install this fitting between the two cut ends. The included thermal switch activates your fan relay when the fluid temperature reaches 180° F (82° C). The switch turns off when the temperature drops down to 165° F (74° C). Two 1/4" spade terminals make electrical hook up easy. Activation and reset temperature rating tolerances are +/- 3.6° F (+/- 2° C). A green dot on the side of the switch identifies the 180°F version.
Note: This switch is not rated for the current draw of the fan. It must be used to control a fan relay.
