Take the guess work out of choosing springs. With this quality device by Intercomp, you can exactly determine spring rate, keep track of any set season after season, and quickly spot any that have given up.

A digital force indicator and a digital travel indicator measure compression for easy testing. Single-pin length adjustment makes set-up a snap. Tests springs up to 6" diameter by 18" long. (You can adapt it to test springs shorter than 6 inches by fabricating a simple spacer.) The capacity is 5000 pounds or 2500 kg, displayed in 1 pound or 1 kg increments on an LCD screen with easy-to-read 1/2" tall numbers. Maximum travel 4".

Tech Tip: Attempting to test the very first inch of spring travel from a fully relaxed position can lead to unpredictable and inaccurate readings. Always begin by compressing the spring about an inch to settle it and ensure even compression. Once the spring is set, zero the display and then compress further to find your measurement.
