The experts in GPS navigation bring their class-leading expertise to the race track! The Garmin Catalyst 2 Driving Performance Optimizer is a lap timer, on-board camera, performance data acquisition and analysis system, and a driving coach all in one.

The Catalyst 2 features a 3 3/8" x 2" full-color touchscreen (less than half the size of the original Catalyst). On track, the touchscreen is an automatic lap timer that shows your lap time as well as gain or loss compared to your best. After the session, you can review your lap times (and your driven line) directly on the screen -- no computer download needed. A 1440p remote camera (now integrated into the Catalyst 2) also records your session for playback right on the Catalyst screen. And after you run a session, optional audio prompts suggest (in real time) where and how you could go faster. You don't even have to take your eyes off the road.

The use of both GPS and GLONASS satellites (25 Hz sampling rate), combined with internal accelerometers and gyroscopes and powerful predictive algorithms, results in very accurate lap timing and track mapping. The Catalyst 2 comes preloaded with an on-board database of road racing tracks around the world. If your track isn't in the database, you can add it quickly and easily, with no computer required. You can even flag your session as "wet" so the Catalyst doesn't try to compare your rain times to your dry times. But it isn't just for road racing -- the Catalyst 2 now measures drag racing (1/8 and 1/4 mile) and 0-60 MPH performance.

Complete kit includes the Catalyst 2 unit with integrated camera, removable anti-glare lens cover, suction cup mount, magnetic mount, "action cam" mount adapter, 4m (13 ft) power cable, 1.5m (5 ft) data cable, and a DC (cigar lighter plug) to dual USB power adapter. A 32GB microSD memory card is preinstalled, but you can also subscribe to the Garmin Vault to upload and share your videos.
