The very thin probe tip gives Longacre tire pyrometers rapid response. Unfortunately, it also makes the probe tip somewhat delicate and easy to damage. Bent or broken probe tips may give false readings or no readings at all.

This is the standard tire probe which supplied with all Longacre probe-type tire pyrometers, including our Part Nos. 3174, 3174/Watch, and many more. The coiled cord makes it easier to use without tripping over a long, stiff cable. Temperature limit 300° F (150° C).
