The RaceQuip VESTA20 helmet is a departure from traditional helmet styling, but it still includes traditional RaceQuip value! The hand-laminated fiberglass shell has an aggressive fighter-pilot look, with a peak in the chin bar that covers the driver's nose. Special ridges molded in the shell aid in aerodynamic stability. Outlet slots in the crown aid cooling and ventilation by drawing air in from below the chin bar. The black Nomex® lining and aramid chin strap are both fire retardant for safety. Available in Gloss Black, Flat Black, or Gloss White. Each includes one clear face shield with tear-off posts. All colors include red anodized shield hardware. Snell SA2020 rated for use with HANS® Devices. Industry-standard M6 female threaded inserts are molded into the shell for easy installation of HANS anchors (sold separately).

The Snell Foundation SA2020 standard was developed specifically for automotive racing helmets. The "SA" (Special Application") helmet standards are written to ensure that a helmet offers the best safety protection for auto racing drivers who are restrained in their vehicles. SA2020 helmets are tested for flame retardance, and additional tests ensure compatibility with HANS® Devices. Female M6 threaded inserts are pre-installed in the shell for installation of head restraint anchors (sold separately). An SA-rated helmet may not meet DOT specifications for street use, such as on motorcycles.

SIZING: Helmets should fit as snug as possible without causing discomfort. Measure head circumference around the largest part of the head approximately one inch above the eyebrows and just above the ears. If a one or two layer Nomex hood will be worn with the helmet, it should be worn when measuring head circumference. If a hood is not available, add about 1/4 inch to the circumference measurement for a single layer hood and 1/2 inch for a double layer hood.
