Cut braided stainless hose up to -12 size quickly and cleanly with this heavy-duty tool!
The conventional method for cutting braided stainless hose at home was to use a fine-tooth hacksaw, but that requires time, effort, and a lot of cleaning up afterwards. This handheld tool will cut most types of hose (including braided stainless and braided aramid) with a single stroke. The hardened steel jaws are C-shaped to center the hose before slicing through the braid and the liner. Extra-long handles provide plenty of leverage.
Note: A few strands may require additional trimming. Use a side cutter or nipper to cut them if needed. These shears will work on all the types of hoses we sell (PTFE lined or nitrile lined, stainless or aramid braid -- even our rubber oil hose), but some types of hose on the market may be too thick or too tough. Power steering hose, for example, is manufactured with more layers and more reinforcement than brake and fuel / oil hose.
