This socket makes it easy to connect any standard ISO 4-pin or 5-pin relay (including our 12V Change Over Relay with Mounting Tab (Part No. 4411-002, sold separately).
The black plastic socket comes pre-wired with five 12" pigtail leads, color-coded for easy connection to your vehicle:
Black (14 ga): Power In (30) -- Power supply for switched device(s)
Red (20 ga): Relay Coil + (86) -- To circuit control switch (connect to power to activate relay)
White (20 ga): Relay Coil - (85) -- Ground for relay coil
Green (14 ga): Power Out, N.O. (87) -- Power output to device 2, Normally Open (supplies power to device when relay/switch is ON)
Blue (14 ga): Power Out, N.C. (87a)* -- Power output to device 1, Normally Closed (supplies power to device when relay/switch is OFF)
* Blue wire (87a) is only used on 5-pin relays. It may be trimmed off or left unconnected when using a 4-pin relay.
