The Mothers California Gold® Clay Bar System removes particulates and debris that washing and polishing just hit and miss. Conventional polishes can even remove paint while leaving the deposits behind. Mothers clay picks up embedded metal grains, pollution deposits, and tree sap without harming the paint below.
This all-in-one kit that includes everything you need to get started: Two 80g clay bars, a 16 ounce pump spray bottle of Mothers California Gold Showtime Instant Detailer, and a 15" x 15" microfiber towel. Using the spray detailer as a lubricant, simply slide a small piece of the clay over the freshly-washed paint and wipe off the excess detailer with the microfiber cloth. Knead the clay to expose a clean side and repeat. You'll be left with a perfectly clean surface.
Note: Claying will also remove wax along with the contaminants. This is a good thing because it prevents wax buildup, but you must wax the vehicle after claying. Mothers California Gold Spray Wax (Part No. 3361-022, sold separately) is an ideal follow-up.
