This is the machined adapter base plate only for our FF1600 Hydraulic Release Bearing Kit, Part No. 163-55. This aluminum base bolts to your Mk-series gearbox using the three tapped holes around the input shaft seal. (Most Mk-series cases have those holes; please check your case prior to ordering.) The front of the adapter is designed to accept a SAAB 900-type HRB (including the equivalent AP Racing CP3959-38, CP3959-50, or CP3959-54).
The thickness of this base plate is specifically engineered to work with the FF1600 Kent engine running a racing clutch (Tilton, AP, QuarterMaster) with the standard 2 1/8" gearbox adapter ring. Other applications (FC, S2, FSV, Lotus, Lola T-400, Titan, etc) require a different height base.
