Finally, an annular slave cylinder (hydraulic release bearing) designed to be a "bolt-on" for the Hewland / Webster Mk-series gearbox!

This unit is engineered to fit most Formula Ford 1600 (Kent engine) cars with single-disc 7.25" racing clutches and the standard 2 1/8" gearbox adapter plate. No fabrication is required! The included adapter base bolts to your main case using three holes around the input shaft. Most Mk-series gearboxes already have these holes drilled and tapped -- check your case before ordering.

Requires two 12x1.0mm adapter fittings and crush washers (sold separately). Choose the size you need to match the hydraulic lines you will use:
12x1.0mm to 3AN Steel Adapter (Part No. 3265-42)
12x1.0mm to 4AN Steel Adapter (Part No. 3265-59)
12mm Crush Washers (Part No. 3278-M12, pack of 5)

Comments about FF1600 Hydraulic Release Bearing Kit, Hewland Mk9:

A very nice kit for single plate racing clutches installed on FF or S2 'vintage' cars using MK-8/9 boxes. It bolted up neatly and met all clearances. I doubt it has enough free play to be used in a dual plate application without modification to the mounting ring. I did drill a drain hole in the mounting ring as a precaution if the gear box seal leaked. This drain would keep any leaked oil from being fed out of the end of the assembly and into the pressure plate. I also felt no need for the stiff spring inside the dust boot. All in all, nice kit, well presented and priced. The perfect part to remove the issues of the original VW monkey motion assembly and avoid machining adapters and figuring out which annular to use. Thank you for the perfect package!
