The model 338 tubing cutter from Beta Tools features a sturdy, simplified feed mechanism. Instead of pushing the cutting wheel along rails on a separate "sled", the cutting wheel is mounted to a post that is an integral part of the feed mechanism. This provides even straighter, more accurate cuts with less tool wear. A release button lets you disengage the feed screw to quickly bring the cutting wheel in contact with the tubing.
This cutter can cut 1/4" to 2 5/8" (6mm - 67mm) OD aluminum or copper tubing.* The single cutting wheel is backed up by 4 wide rollers for consistently straight cuts. The large plastic knob makes it easy to advance the feed screw. The cutting wheel can be replaced when it gets dull. Measures 290mm (11 7/16") long. Weighs 592g (1 lb 5 oz).
* You can also use the model 338 on steel tubing if you replace the standard cutting wheel with the upgraded Beta Tools 338R/I Cutting Wheel for Stainless Steel Tubing, Part No. BT-003380023 (sold separately).
