The 966BA Series safety valve wrenches from Beta Tools are designed specifically to give you extra leverage to turn a valve wheel handle. This can save critical seconds when trying to stem a leak or contamination. The copper-beryllium (Cu-Be) construction is non-sparking, making it ideal for use in environments with combustible gasses* in the atmosphere.

This 966BA/40 model measures 350mm long (L) with a 40mm jaw opening (L1) to work on valve handles measuring 50mm to 150mm diameter (Ø). Weighs 930g. (13 13/16" L, 1 9/16" L1, 2" - 5.9" Ø, 2 lb 1 oz.) This is smaller than the two 966BA/V Series wrenches. Natural brass color with a Beta Orange insulated handle. Sold individually.

Note: The Cu-Be material is softer than steel, so care must be taken to apply force gradually. Never pound on the handle or add a "cheater" pipe to increase leverage! Doing so will damage the tool and void the lifetime warranty.

* Not for use in or around acetylene! Acetylene gas can react with the copper in this tool to form acetylide, a powerful explosive.
