The 1132 Series cutters from Beta Tools are designed specifically for cutting insulated copper or aluminum electrical cables (such as battery cables). The hooked jaws are designed to keep large-diameter cables from slipping out so you get a cleaner cut. The jaws lock closed to prevent damage in storage. The black over Beta orange 2-layer PVC handles are textured for a non-slip grip.
This size measures 170mm long (L) x 10.5mm thick (B). The jaws measure 26mm wide when closed (A). Weighs 183 g. (L = 6.7", B = 0.4", A = 1", weighs 6.5oz.) Maximum cable size 50mm² (IECC 60228) or 1 AWG. Maximum jaw capacity 14mm (9/16") OD including insulation. Sold individually.
