The 1718D6 files from Beta Tools are designed to remove material quickly, with minimal clogging. The double-cut style has diagonal ridges cut in two directions, leaving diamond-shaped teeth. The "bastard cut" or "rough cut" has coarser teeth than the "second cut" (and much coarser teeth than a "smooth" file). The cutting surface of each file is nominally 6" long.

Handles are available separately.

This S5 set includes one Flat (P), one Square (Q), one Triangular (T), one Half-round (M), and one Round (R) file.

Deciphering the Beta Tools Hand File Numbering System:
1718 = File with no handle (1719BM series includes handles)
D = Bastard Cut (A = Second Cut)
6 = 6 Inch nominal length
