Aeromotive A1000 Series pressure regulators are designed for use on carbureted vehicles using high-flow, high-pressure pumps such as the Aeromotive A1000 (max 70 psi, 80 GPH @ 30 psi). If you plan to convert a car from EFI to carburetors, an A1000 regulator can let you retain the stock in-tank pump. They are appropriate for use on street or racing vehicles.
This model can be set to between 3 and 12 psi. Adjusting requires an accurate fuel pressure gauge (sold separately). It is recommended for use on normally-aspirated or blow-through supercharged applications. A vacuum port lets you vary fuel pressure using either manifold vacuum or boost pressure (1:1 ratio), or the port can be left open for constant fuel pressure. The bypass regulator type requires a return line (8AN / 1/2" ID or larger) back to the tank.
The billet aluminum body has one -10 (7/8-14) O-Ring inlet port on the front and one -8 (3/4-16) return line port on the bottom. Two -6 (9/16-18) O-Ring outlet ports on the sides aid the connection of multiple carbs (single carburetor applications should plug one of the outlet ports). A separate 1/8 NPT port (plugged from the factory) is also provided for easy installation of a fuel pressure gauge (sold separately).
Compatible with gasoline, alcohol blends to E-85, and diesel fuel.
