The Secret
Water-cooling systems like Cool Shirt work best when the cooling media (ice or cold packs) have a low ratio of surface area to volume. This is why Cool Shirt recommends block ice instead of ice cubes. Small ice cubes transfer heat quickly, but run out of cooling capacity in a short time -- leaving you with lukewarm water in your cool suit! Endurance Ice offers efficient heat transfer with a relatively low surface-to-mass ratio for long-lasting cooling.
To use Endurance Ice, simply freeze prior to the weekend (we recommend 48 hours in the freezer for optimum results). Put the packs in your Cool Shirt cooler, then fill the rest of the way with cold water. When you get home from the race, throw the Endurance Ice back in the freezer!
This large 32-ounce (1 quart) bag works in all water-circulating Cool Shirt systems. Measures approximately 9 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2". You can use multiple packs in larger systems. Sold individually.
