These precision gaskets have been designed specifically for the original valve covers on the 1967-98 Rover V8 engine. The high-temperature silicone construction allows the gaskets to crush -- without extruding outwards -- much more than the stock cork gaskets for better sealing.
Simply clean your valve cover, spread a thin bead of RTV sealant around the flange to hold the gasket in place, and install the gasket. Bolt down your cover and you're ready to go! When it's time to check the valves, the gasket will stay with the valve cover. The gaskets are reusable indefinitely, which means it could be the last valve cover gasket you will ever buy! Sold in pairs (enough for one engine).
Fits the original factory steel valve cover on the 3.5L Rover V8 engine as used on the Triumph TR8, MGB GT V8, Rover SD1, and TVR 350i. Not for use with aftermarket valve covers. May not fit the original B/O/P 215 engine. Does not fit Rover / Land Rover 3.9L through 5.0L engines. Not for Triumph Stag V8 engines.
