The Tilton OT-II Single Disc Clutch is a very high-quality open style 7 1/4" diameter racing clutch. The aluminum cover is much lighter and stiffer than the stamped steel cover used on many other clutches. The 7 1/4" diameter gives longer disc life than a 5.5" clutch at the expense of a little rotating inertia.

This assembly includes the cover and pressure plate. Clutch disc and bolts are sold separately. The White spring is the lowest-strength spring offered, recommended for Formula Ford (especially vintage) and other cars producing up to 200 lb-ft of torque. This clutch requires 400 pounds of pressure to release, so it is the best choice for cars using a cable-operated release mechanism. It can also be used with an external slave cylinder or even a hydraulic release bearing assembly.

Requires specially modified flywheel such as our JAE Flywheel for Formula Ford 1600 (Part No. 163-01-JAE).
