Replace the points and condenser in your Lucas distributor with the solid state reliability and precision of an electronic ignition. The Pertronix system mounts entirely inside the distributor, replacing the points and condenser.

The Ignitor is a simple, bolt-on conversion that can be done in less time than it takes to install a new set of points and a condensor -- and it can be quickly converted back to points at the track. The Ignitor II automatically increases dwell time as RPM rises for better spark and more power. This unit fits the Lucas DKH4A, DKY4A, and DKYH4A distributors used on many 1939-53 British and French 4-cylinder engines (Hillman, Citroen, and Jowett are a few examples). The lobe-sensing module triggers directly off of the cam lobes on the distributor shaft. 12 volt, negative ground only.

The Pertronix Flame-Thrower II Ignition Coil (Part No. 1315-201, sold separately) is highly recommended with the Ignitor II. The increased dwell time and coil saturation will destroy conventional coils.
