Locktite® Threadlocker 271™ (red) is a very high strength studlocker recommended for locking studs and high strength bolts or large bolts over 1 inch diameter. Removal can be difficult and may require heating the fastener to break down the compound and allow removal without breakage. Temperature limits -65°F to 300°F (-54°C to 150°C). 6 ml bottle.
For best results, pre-treat the threads with Loctite 7649 Primer N Surface Activator (Part No. LT-37509, sold separately). This treatment allows the threadlocker to adhere to "inactive" materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, magnesium, titanium, black oxide, zinc plating, and cadmium plating -- which is just about everything racecars are made of!
