Setrab Super Standard (SSTD) oil coolers feature the same robust brazed aluminum plate construction as Setrab Standard (STD) oil coolers, but a revision in the turbulator design encourages even greater heat rejection without compromising flow or causing additional pressure drop.

Turbulators are very small fins or ribs on the inside surfaces of the aluminum plates that cause turbulence in the oil as it flows through the cooler. Without them, cooler oil in contact with the plates would slow down, while the hotter oil not touching the plates would speed right through. The SSTD turbulators not only create more effective turbulence, they do it while creating even less flow interference than in the original STD series.

Setrab SSTD coolers are only available in a new "3 Series" width measuring 10.04" wide overall (8.19" without the mounting tabs) with female M22 ports spaced 6.57" center-to-center. The 1.97" thickness matches the Setrab STD series. The 60 row cooler measures 18.46" high (not including the fitting hexes) and adds approximately 1 quart capacity to your oil system. This Fanpack consists of the cooler with a shroud and two 6.5 inch 12 volt fans preinstalled. The steel shroud even has rubber-isolated mounting brackets built in. Black epoxy finish. Note: All oil coolers are relatively fragile. Care must be taken to avoid stressing the fittings when tightening connections (always use a backup wrench on the cooler fitting). The cooler should be mounted in a manner that will minimize vibration.
