Modern headlights are protected by a plastic outer lens, and despite a UV coating from the factory, over time the plastic gets hazy, milky, and yellow -- diffusing the light and blocking it from reaching the road. This kit from Mothers® has been assembled to restore the new-car look and effectiveness to your headlights, making them more attractive and safer. The complete NuLens® kit includes a 3" Quick Swap backing plate drill attachment, a set of matching 3" Restoration Discs, a PowerBall 4Lights® Polishing Tool, and an 8 oz bottle of PowerPlastic 4Lights Polish.

After cleaning your car and masking off the area around the headlight lens, start by chucking the Quick Swap backing plate into your variable-speed drill and use the Restoration Discs to remove the old clearcoat along with the bulk of the scratches, haze, and imperfections. Next, switch the Quick Swap for the Polishing Tool and use the PowerPlastic 4Lights Polish to buff the lens to a crystal-clear finish. The special polish imparts a new UV-protective coating to slow the aging process in the future. Repeat the treatment periodically as part of routine maintenance. If you treat your headlights with the right frequency, you will be able to skip the sanding step and go straight to polishing.
