The Braille Micro-Lite series represents the state-of-the-art in lithium-iron (LiFePO4) racing batteries. These are the same batteries used in factory racecars from Ford, Cadillac/Dallara, Mazda, Lexus, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz. They are the only battery used in DTM, Australian V8 Supercars, and Japanese SuperGT series because they are far more reliable and powerful than the more common consumer-grade lithium batteries on the market.
This B128L model measures 258mm Long x 156mm High x 80mm Wide (10.15" L x 6.15" H x 3.15" W) -- half the size of a standard Group 34 battery. It weighs just 4kg (8.8 pounds), but puts out an astounding 1698 Pulse Cranking Amps to easily start high-compression V8 racing engines. The true Amp-hour rating of 22.5 Ah makes it suitable for use in total-loss electrical systems, but it is also compatible with standard modern 12V alternators. Male 3/8-24 UNF threaded studs accept common 3/8" ring terminals for a compact installation. The positive terminal is on the right side when the label faces you, but the battery is symmetrical (just rotate it 180 degrees to put the positive on the left). Braille batteries are made in the USA.
Note: Never use a trickle charger or standard lead-acid battery charger on a lithium-ion battery. These batteries have a very low self-discharge rate in storage; however, a charger should be used for long-term storage of vehicles with a parasitic drain (computer memory, alarm, etc).
