This universal subframe kit is designed by Sabelt to help you build a solid, FIA-approved base to mount your racing seat. When assembled properly, the mount complies with FIA Appendix J, Article 253, 16.2 (Drawing 253-65B).

The kit consists of two 35mm (1 3/8") square-section steel tubes, four 90mm x 45mm (3 9/16" x 1 3/4") steel end plates, four 100mm x 65mm (4 3/8" x 2 9/16") steel backing plates, and four M8 bushings. Cut the tubes to fit between your floor pan rails and drill the tubes to match the position of your seat brackets (sold separately). Weld the bushings into the tubes for your mounting bolts, weld the end plates onto the tubes, and weld the backing plates to the floorpan. Bolt the finished tube assemblies in place using the backing plates as anchors. (Illustrated instructions can be found in FIA Appendix J, Article 253.) Each kit contains enough material for one seat.

Requires measuring, cutting, drillig, welding, and painting. Mounting bolts are not included (eight bolts are required for mounting the subframe to your vehicle and four are required to mount your brackets to the subframe).
