The TS-1 Series turbochargers from Turbosmart feature the simplicity and lightness of oil cooling, making it easy to bolt on horsepower. The competition-proven cast 310S stainless steel housings hide a unique dual-ceramic bearing and main shaft assembly that has been designed for the lowest possible rotating mass, meaning quicker spool-up and better response.
The 7880C frame has a 78mm compressor inducer coupled to an 80mm turbine exducer. This version has a 0.96 A/R ratio, giving it a horspower rating of 1275-1425 HP. The V-band flange exhaust mount (3" inlet and 3.5" exit) makes it easy to mount and dismount. The 4" OD compressor inlet ensures an ample supply of intake air, and the 3" OD compressor outlet makes it easier to adapt to many intake systems. Weighs 20.5 lb (9.3kg).
The oil inlet has a male 4AN (7/16-20 UNF, 37° convex flare) fitting, and the oil outlet has a male 10AN (7/8-14 UNF, 37° flare) fitting. Kit includes weld flanges and V-band clamps for exhaust inlet and outlet. A paper gasket is also included for conversion of the oil outlet to a standard 2-bolt flange (flange fitting not included). An external wastegate (sold separately) is required with this turbo.
