Air Filter Foam Sheet, Black (60 PPI Fine), 12 x 16 x 3/8

This special foam is designed and manufactured for use as a high-performance air filter medium. It is ideal for making your own filter assembly, or replacing worn-out foam from an old filter kit.

This Black foam has 60 pores per inch for fine filtration of dust and other particles. It is similar in flow to the old green "Filtron" foam which has been off the market for many years. It is also a great choice for sealing between an air scoop and the carburetor. Glue the ends together using silicone adhesive (not included). 12 inch x 16 inch x 3/8 inch sheet.

We also offer a Green (Fine 65 PPI) Air Filter Foam in a thicker 5/8" thick sheet, which is an even closer match to the old Filtron foam -- right down to the color. The thicker sheet offers greater capacity for holding dust, making it a better choice if only one layer is used.

Our Medium Stainless Steel Wire Mesh (Part No. 3641, sold separately) makes a great support screen when making your own filter.

For best dirt-capturing ability, we recommend treating the foam with an oil such as our Rock Oil Eco Foam Air Filter Oil, Part No. 3818-001 (sold separately).
