Weber DCOE Accelerator Pump Rod, Long (18mm Stroke)

Click for a larger picture of Weber DCOE Accelerator Pump Rod, Long (18mm Stroke)

This U-shaped rod is part of the accelerator pump mechanism on Weber DCOE and DCO carburetors. When the throttle is closed, the linkage pushes the pump rod and piston up. Opening the throttle releases the rod, pushing the piston downwards to shoot fuel through the pump jets.

This "024" rod is the longest listed, with an 18mm stroke and 67.5mm overall length. It is 8mm longer than the version fitted to current production carbs as standard.

A longer rod increases the piston stroke, increasing the length of time that the accelerator pump discharges. This provides enrichment for a longer period of acceleration. A rod that is too short can cause faltering or hesitation at the end of a pull, but a rod that is too long can cause an over-rich mixture that can be difficult to diagnose.

Sold individually; one required per carburetor. Does not include spring or piston.
