A shock inflation tool is required for gas charging Penske and other racing dampers after service.
This rugged tool from Longacre is designed to be mounted directly to your nitrogen tank, or it can be installed at the end of your nitrogen hose. The digital pressure gauge reads to 300 psi in 0.1 psi increments for accurate filling. The special Schrader valve coupler is designed to separate hookup from valve actuation so your charge isn't lost when you install and remove the tool from the shock.
To use, screw the coupler onto your damper Schrader valve using the large-diameter knurled knob. Then turn the smaller black knob to open the Schrader valve. Shock pressure will now register on the gauge. Open the valve on the inlet fitting of the tool to pressurize the damper from your nitrogen bottle, then close the valve when the desired pressure is reached. In the event the pressure in the shock is higher than desired, a bleeder valve below the pressure gauge lets you bleed off small amounts of pressure.
Fits Penske and other brands of racing shocks using a standard Schrader valve. Sold individually.
