Nine of these 8x1.25mm nylon locking nuts are used to hold the bearing carrier to the main case on Hewland and Webster Mk-series gearboxes. Because these nuts get taken off so frequently, they are subject to a lot of abuse. They should be replaced whenever they show signs of damage, or if they can be run all the way down the stud without resistance from the nylon locking ring. Sold individually.
