The Tilton OT-II Dual Disc Clutch is a very high-quality open style 7 1/4" diameter clutch. The aluminum cover is much lighter and stiffer than the stamped steel cover used on the AP racing clutch. This assembly includes the cover, pressure plate, and floater plate. Clutch discs and bolts are sold separately. Requires specially modified flywheel.
The Buff spring is a low-strength spring, recommended for cars producing up to 400 lb-ft of torque. We also offer the Tilton OT-2 Dual Disc Clutch with Orange Spring (part #163-18-Orn) for cars up to 500 lb-ft of torque.
Racing clutches require high pedal force to actuate -- cable operated release mechanisms may not work. This clutch is appropriate for use with an external slave cylinder.
