If you are connecting a MyChron3 XG-Log data logger to a vehicle without a CAN or RS232-enabled ECU, you will need this input harness to get an RPM signal. It is designed to pick up a high-voltage (points and coil) or low-voltage (ECU tach signal) pulsed signal.
Four unterminated wires at one end are labeled Battery Positive, Ground, RPM 150-400V (coil signal), and RPM 8-50V (square wave). The other end has a 7-pin 712-type screw-in connector to screw into the "ECU/RPM/Power" port on the XG-Log. For MyChron3 XG-Log only. Not designed for use with any other model or brand.
If you are connecting to an ECU, we also offer the CAN ECU Harness for XG-Log (Part No. MC-316) which has CAN wiring, and the RS232 ECU Harness for XG-Log (Part No. MC-317) which has RS232 connections.
